"The positive impact Tom is having on safety and company culture is remarkable."

Life
is made up of
Moments

What will you do when it really matters?

My name is Tom. I am the sole survivor of an unsurviveable plane crash.

In 2008, I lost 7 co-workers and friends, including the plane's pilot, in a plane crash off the coast of British Columbia. I barely escaped the accident with my life, and I barely escaped the demons that followed.

What I did in the moments that led up to the crash weigh heavy on me every day. If I had only spoken up, my friends might still be alive.

What I've done in the days and years following the crash have taken me from the darkest depths to the highest highs.

Today, I live to share my story and encourage people who hear it to consider how they handle the Moments of Impact in their lives, and how to live a life with intention and awareness.

Moments of Impact will change the way you live your life

With a unique approach for every audience, combined with deep honesty, vulnerability, and humanity, Moments of Impact guarantees a lasting impression and promises organizations and individuals a commitment to living life more intentionally.

"Telling this tragic story could have been done in so many other ways, many of which would have been sensationalized and made into movies. Tom took his story and told his very personal truths of what he could have done differently. Many never get to that and tend to look outward for what could have been different."

Who is Moments of Impact right for?

Tom's story has a profound impact on everyone who hears it - not only because of how he describes his heart breaking story of trauma, loss, and addiction - because he openly shares his learning and insights from reflecting on going from victim to addict to father to man of faith to story teller.

Tom's life goal is to tell his story to as many people as possible, and have every single person come away with a renewed sense of ownership over their own life and decisions, awareness of their risk tolerance, and their behavioural tendencies when under pressure.

Tom's message is applicable to any audience who wants to live with more awareness, intention, and joy. It is especially impactful for organizations driving a safety-first culture.

Building a Safety First Culture

Tom is a perfect influencer for safety-first cultures, or where safety needs to become a top priority. He has spoken to thousands of teams in safety-sensitive organizations about the critical importance of managing extreme pressure, acknowledging our tolerance for risk, and the difference between bravery and courage to speak up when something isn't right.

Tom's message is directly aligned to those in professions under great pressure to perform. The story of his trauma bring a powerful spotlight to the very human tendency to crack under pressure, and make decisions for short term gain or relief, rather than for ethical and intentional reasons.

Growing up is hard

We are all vulnerable to countless internal and external pressures that guide our decision making. Young people are especially vulnerable, as they learn to figure out who they are and gain confidence in their intuition, influence, and decision making. Tom's message is incredibly powerful for audiences navigating the social influences of growing up. It is an absolute must-have speaker in schools and youth organizations.

Never have I seen such worthy, eye opening content in regards to safety in all parts of our lives. This should be shared everywhere and become part of mandatory safety training for everyone.
